Sin
Having looked up the meaning and symbols behind Torah and been completely blown away by the truth of that study I wasted no time in looking up the word for Sin - חטא
The first letter is a chet ח, which has the symbol of a fence, meaning seperation or division.
The second letter is a tet ט, which has the symbol of a cross within circle, meaning basket, and the symbol represents a snake or to surround.
The final letter is an Aleph א which has the symbol of an ox head, meaning power, strength, authority and it is also the symbol of God.
So sin is,
ח - seperation
ט - snake or surround
א - strength, authority, God
I mean do I need to spell it out.
Sin in its hebrew symbols means, the seperation surrounding God or the serpent seperates you from God. Or the seperation of the snake from God.
And just to add to it lets do the word for Iniquity, which is עוון, Oven or owen.
Now we already know in English that iniquity means lawlessness. Or lawless behaviour so you can guess where this is going, but it is still a deep and interesting mini study in hebrew.
עוון
The first letter is Ayin ע, which is symbolised by a circle or eye, and means see of expereince.
The second letter, and third is yod ו, which is symbolised by a hand, and means will or deeds, works, hands.
The final letter is Vav ן, which symbolises man kind or the bridge between heaven and earth.
So lets put it together quickly
ע - see or experience
ו - the will, deeds, works or hand
ו - the will, deeds, works or hand
ן - man kind the bridge between heaven and earth
So - their word for iniquity, lawlessness is עוון. which symbolises, see the will and works of man. or Experience the works and deeds of man kind.
Put iniquity עוון and sin חטא together and you get the whole picture.
we read in 1st John ch3 v4 "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for sin is transgression of Torah.
We know from a previous study that Torah means The mark of the bridge between heaven and earth, my face you will behold.
But when we sin we transgress this and it is - the seperation by the snake from God.
And what is sin? transgressing Torah, transgressing The Law, and iniquity means lawlessness - Experience the works and deeds of man kind.
So put it all together and we get the big picture;
When we work for our own will, the lust of the flesh, it is iniquity, and sin is the seperation from Yahah. But when we walk in the Torah, in Yahuahs will, we bear his promise, his mark that we will overcome and see his face.
HalleluYah that he called us through his everlasting mercy and grace unto his righteousness, and not our own, because if we go after our own will it is sin, but walking in his Torah leads us to him, forever.
Amein.
